10 years since my first ever video on Home Cafe by Charlie! To celebrate I've put the Brew Ledger on sale for the next few weeks:

Get yours here: https://geni.us/QpnPfX

Looking back at the first video I made: it was out of focus the whole video, on-camera audio, 1 cut in the whole thing and I spilled the latte art at the end... But it helped people with the Barista Express to make better coffee and I fell in love with this whole culture around specialty coffee.

I almost quit so many times, but now I'm running a few successful channels and producing on a few others (thumbs up to people who have found my main other channel).

I'm grateful every single day for the opportunity to share my passion and interests with such a great group of people. My experience has been 99% positive, and I've had the chance to work with brilliant creators and companies in the space.

Thanks for everything you guys, and don't worry a lot more content is coming soon once I've set up my new coffee space here in Madrid.

I'm saying goodbye to the Home Cafe by Charlie set. I'm moving to Madrid and will be setting up a NEW studio there. More great videos on the way including reviews and more opinion pieces about the world of espresso gear, and coffee science videos too! Stay tuned and follow me on Instagram @homecafecharlie for updates.

If you didn't see it already this video is about why independent cafes are being pushed to the brink in the UK. It's an untenable position, and if something doesn't change we're going to see a lot of cafes closing. Go support local cafes!

It's probably the last chance to get a Brew Ledger for your favourite espresso lover for Christmas at https://homecafebycharlie.com/

They are shipped by Amazon, usually quite quickly. Happy holidays everyone!

I'm doing the first ever sale on the Brew Ledger.
Get it on Amazon here ~20% off for the next 10 days: https://geni.us/QpnPfX

October 1st marks a whole year since I released this coffee journal to the world, and I wanted to mark the occasion. It will be 20% off for 10 days from October 1st till 11th. If you are looking for a Christmas gift for someone in your life who makes espresso, now would be a good time to get that sorted well in advance.

I'm so excited to share this with you. A collab between me and Ceramica Studio. Soon.

What was your first espresso machine? Mine was this Delonghi EC155. Send it in the comments.

I lived in Japan for 10 years and learned from an ex's mum how to make REAL matcha (not with the "ceremonial grade" nonsense we see in the west).

It starts with which matcha powder you choose, much like with coffee beans you can't pull out flavours that aren't there.

Watch my video and you'll be making the best matcha you've ever had, every time you make it!

Tomorrow at 9am London time I'll be going live to practice my latte art. Come join me and ask any questions you like about latte art or the Wendougee Data S!

Gotta start building up that muscle memory and skill if I'm going to compete at the national level.

This time it's gonna be a dragon design I've seen a bunch of times on Instagram. I've tried it a few times and I think I can get from a blob to something resembling a dragon by the end of the live stream. See you there!

If you ever wanted to win an argument with your friend who thinks you should quit coffee and make the switch to green tea, you'll want to watch this video. One of the best I've ever made 😎
