Reminder that today is the last day of the FlowSMP Open Beta for S10. It will close tomorrow morning and then I will open the SMP on Wednesday. I will release a specific time when we get close to Wednesday. Also, the Open Mic is in about an hour on the SMP and anyone can join. Be there or be square!

My name’s Poot and I’ll be hosting the Open Beta Open Mic on Sunday, September 13th at 1pm EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) (with help from my Co-Hosts; Decres, BanditUnknown, and ThatRedCore)! It will be at spawn! Here are some general rules/guidelines: Keep your act to 5 minutes There’s no limit to what you can do, just keep it within server rules One act per player, and only one person at the mic at once Obligatory “Have Fun!” rule Open Mics will also continue during season 10, being every other week. Some people have reported some performance issues with v1.33 of BA+, and that is most likely because that version reintroduced Voxy and Voxy WorldGen to the modpack -- the latter of which can be extremely laggy. So, v1.34 will ship with Voxy WorldGen disabled by default and you can re-enable it by going into Mod Menu and opening the config for Voxy WorldGen and simply enabling it. Additionally, v1.34 ships with 8 render distance instead of 16, so if your PC is still struggling to run the modpack after this fix then I'm sorry but your computer just sucks. https://modrinth.com/modpack/ba+/vers...

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS I was notified just a bit ago by a viewer email that someone is masquerading a malicious download as something along the lines of "FlowSMP Modpack.mrpack" -- basically pretending to have a download link to the mods we use on the FlowSMP, when in reality it's just a session highjack. JoCat who is a pretty big creator got their Discord and other social accounts hacked by this scam and has made a video which I will link below that has some more context. Bottom line is NEVER EVER DOWNLOAD ANY FILES FROM ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. EVER. I almost exclusively ship modpack files to Modrinth (and CurseForge I suppose, but I don't do that anymore). I say almost exclusively for a couple of reasons. I had to upload modpack files to Google Drive for S8 of the FlowSMP when Modrinth was taking their sweet time approving my modpack. I also on occasion will send people an .mrpack file if I'm playing with friends or need someone to test something quickly if Modrinth is down or something. Aside from that, I ALWAYS upload .mrpacks to official websites like Modrinth. That is it. I will certainly never DM someone saying "hey download this file" for no reason. That has scam written all over it. Please be careful who you talk to on the internet. Do not ever download a modpack file from some random person in DMs. EVER. Just thought I'd share a quick thought with everyone about the channel. I know that I've been uploading a lot lately -- almost every day lately -- and some people might be concerned about burnout or that I'm uploading too much. I just want to say that I feel especially passionate lately about making videos and Minecraft, whether that's because of Matcha Flavoured and playing a more simple playstyle, or just because I'm having fun doing it. I love this job and will do it for as long as I love it, and I hope that you continue to get enjoyment through my content. I feel very appreciative that you all watch my videos so that I may continue to do this job into the future. Thank you very much for your support. As always, I'm open to your thoughts and suggestions on this post or whatever video ideas you may have for me.

Hello gamers so, surprise! S9 closed beta testing for the FlowSMP starts right now, yes right now. I decided to do it early. You will need to be a FlowSMP member and have v1.5 of FA+ installed. We'll run this testing for about a week to see what can be further streamlined or added to the modpack, and then we'll launch S9 this coming Friday, August 14th.
