update on my "massive drop of 3 videos at once" before i'm kicked from the partner program, unable to monetize and uploading anything that i've put so much time into is basically worthless.

it's been downgraded to 2 videos since i don't have time to do all 3, and i'm only 20% through the first one. i haven't been tracking my hours but it's probably close to or more than 400 so far, so you can see why i'd want monetization on that. if i'm kicked out of YPP it takes at least 30 days to reapply and the video won't get recommended (like, at all) because google has no incentive to promote channels that earn them no money.. I personally don't really care about the monetization part, but the fact that it'd basically be automatically buried by the algorithm really sucks when you consider how much time I've put into it.

I don't really have a hard deadline from YouTube (they're very vague, and support said they had no further information) but if I get kicked out of YPP before I'm able to finish the video I'm just gonna throw in the towel tbh

Got a lovely email from YouTube informing me that due to my lack of uploads I'd be kicked from the platform. I've actually been slowly working on a massive drop of 3 videos at once (and one more that explains the inactivity) but I'm not sure I'll be able to get them done before the end of the month.

In that case, was fun knowing yall while it lasted :)

i didn't upload this to main channel since it's not minecraft related but if you're wondering where the videos have been they're mostly on my live channel now. it doesn't have monetization enabled so i can make whatever i want on there instead of here where i have to upload 5 soul-crushing re-edits before youtube lets me publish anything.

a lot of effort went into this video though, it's got main channel levels of editing just with second channel swearing :)

Wondering where I've been for the last 9 months?

Twitch wrongfully banned me for 9 months and they still won't tell me why.

A few updates:
1 - YouTube has finally responded, basically saying "sorry for the mistake" and reinstated the video (which is great, of course, but it took over a week and the video being back doesn't make up for the lost revenue, stress and time spent trying to figure out what happened, and the fact that it basically lost all of its momentum)

2 - Even though the video is back, it's suddenly demonetized and restricted to limited ads, which it wasn't before. I've requested a manual review and we'll see what happens

3 - On a lighter note, I'm gonna be hosting a Minecraft UHC game tonight on my Twitch channel! Anyone is free to join, and as an added bonus whoever wins will get $25 (through PayPal or a gift card of your choice, I'll DM the winner privately to sort it out)

YouTube STILL refuses to tell me why they deleted my video with over half a million views. It's been almost a week and I've heard nothing other than vague responses on Twitter, but still no formal email, no further clarification on the removal and of course, the appeal button still goes directly to an error page.

PLEASE read and share this thread on Twitter, the only way to get any sort of response from YouTube these days is if you have a large enough following to tweet at them for you... https://twitter.com/fredwardvevo/stat...

PLEASE READ THIS. YouTube just removed my biggest video for a "terms and policies violation" - I got no notice, no warning, and no explanation. On top of that, if I try to appeal the video to ask for a reason it just shows "appealing this violation is not available"

The video in question was about my experiences running Minecraft Java (emulated in a linux environment) on android. It's not one of those fake, misleading scams, or a virus. I actually managed to run Java on a phone, and made a tutorial showing how I did it so other people could too. I genuinely spent about a month making that video, just for it to get removed 4 months later for "inappropriate content"

I made a longer Twitter thread explaining the whole thing, please read and share it if you can: https://twitter.com/fredwardvevo/stat... (and maybe follow me there in case youtube decides to shut me out completely..)
