When a woman is trapped in street prostitution through addiction and exploitation, how should society respond?

After speaking to Joanna Warner, this question hits differently.

For 13 years, Joanna worked the streets for as little as £20 — caught in addiction, violence and exploitation. She was attacked, imprisoned, repeatedly hospitalised and survived an encounter with a man she believed was trying to kill her.

Today, she’s 7½ years clean, has completed a degree, built her own business and now takes her story back into prisons to help others.
