Fall feelings ❣️ to inspire warmth in you today

stay soft 🎀 You don’t have to do anything to be loved, you are worthy of love just by existing. I had this thought when painting this piece: The stronger i become, the softer i become. Nothing can take away my creative spirit and curiosity. I am really grateful that I am reconnecting to my child like wonder every day and my fearlessness. Its funny because when i was a kid i used to collect stuffed animals and would put them all in bed with me at night like a big happy family. My imagination gave me so much love and power then and i think it still does today. I love to dream still, i love make believe. If its all real in mind then its all real to me. Stay soft ❤️

Hello friends!!! Lets encourage each other today :) I sent this journal prompt and some abundance/ money affirmations to a friend this week and it reminded me of the power of supporting one another ❤️ i wanted to share with you too, in case you needed it. Start with whatever you have! Wherever You are! Funny story: when i first started making music, I had quite literally no idea what i was doing. I was like a baby learning to crawl, all weak knees and constantly falling over. It can be so frustrating when our vision doesn’t quite match up with our technical abilities. So often, this is where we stop, right where we should keep exploring because we want to be great, and fucking fast! I want to tell you now, dont stop! Because what i quickly realized in this process is that the fact that my skills as a musician were still naïve and fragile, that they didnt quite align perfectly with my vision, was actually something to be celebrated as unique and exciting. The gap in what your ambitions are and what you are physically able to create is actually such a magical place to play inside. It creates a sense of creative urgency, messed up brush strokes like when you first start a painting. A feeling of i cant wait! I want to tell my story today! Allowing yourself to create, regardless of your technique tells another story, the story of when you earnestly want to express yourself despite outside circumstances. Thats punk shit baby. For example, on my first EP, i tried so many odd things. I strapped a microphone to a chair and recorded myself tap dancing to replace the drums, i took pots and pans from my kitchen and banged them together in delight like a kid. And when it came to make the cover art, i couldnt afford to pay for a fancy photoshoot so i cut out and collaged these houses over my photo in finalcut. Looking at it now, it could seem a bit kitchy, but this was exactly what i always dreamed of: to be an Artist and a beginner forever, with out limits. To be forever free. Free. Forever.

Monday feels rainy, creative, nostalgic, hopeful, im painting and pretending that its not 100 dégrées out and im going to keep pretending because Life is magical and surprising like rainbows jn the dark. A Little détail of a piece i started last week. What are You currently working on? 🌧️🌧️🌧️
