What happens when two skeptics team up? 

A few days ago on Reddit, a blogger sent me his critique of a popular finance channel called 'Lock Stock Finance.'

Watching the guy's videos instantly triggered my BS radar. The scripts were obvious AI-spun clones of other viral videos, and the authoritative 'guru' felt like a paid actor. I did some digging, and sure enough... he is literally a hired actor reading plagiarized scripts to hawk gold and crypto!

Just to be clear: we are not deleting critical comments.

Discussions are welcome. Pushback is welcome. If you think we got something wrong, post evidence and we will deal with it.

But if you make confident claims, get your argument answered, and then quietly delete your comments instead of admitting the point, that is not how honest debate works.

Making these videos takes a lot of effort. But scammers, especially delusional ones like him, provide the absolute greatest entertainment. Totally worth it! 😁

HONEST FRAMING: "Here is a cool historical academic paper that teaches us how to build a model. The specific edge they found died years ago, but it's a great example of why underlying stats matter.

DISHONEST AND IRRESPONSIBLE FRAMING: "What if I told you there's a strategy that actually works?! Go beat the market today! Download my free spreadsheet and get right into my software's sales funnel!"

The Admission of Guilt.

The plot just thickened. Pete Nordsted has just scrubbed Jonny Grossmark from the 'Trade on Sports' website. Jonny is no longer listed on the Team page.



This is a massive self-own. If our video was "untrue," why hide your star analyst? Nordsted clearly realized that Jonny’s unhinged stalking is a brand-killer, so he hit the panic button and threw his partner to the wolves. They can block the video in the UK, but they can't hide the fact that they're imploding behind the scenes.

HE FOLDED. 🤡⚖️

The legal deadline has passed. "Expert Football Betting" was too scared to face my lawyers, so YouTube has restored the videos he tried to censor.

A WARNING TO ANY OTHER "EXPERTS" THINKING ABOUT ABUSING THE COPYRIGHT SYSTEM:
Every false strike you file guarantees more videos about you. Even if I was planning to move on, a strike makes it my duty to dig deeper. 
You are choosing your own destruction. If you want more publicity for your scams, keep filing strikes. I'll be happy to oblige.



AND A FINAL WORD OF ADVICE:
Right now, this is just content for me. But if you make me angry enough to unleash my legal team properly, this stops being about "YouTube Drama" and starts being about jail time.

We generally did not plan to make more videos on "Trading the Market", but they keep asking for it. Every bad-faith complaint used to hide legitimate criticism will simply result in a re-upload, along with additional videos.

And let me be clear: they are pathetic. They go after others without hesitation, then cry "Defamation!" when the spotlight is on them.

THE "SELLING PICKS" WAVE - SAME OLD SCAM

Lately you might have noticed a lot of betting channels suddenly pushing paid picks - either straight up, or indirectly through Patreon, Discord, VIP groups, whatever. It is the same old grift in new packaging.

If you see a channel suddenly start offering free picks out of nowhere, treat it as an early-warning signal: the scam is usually coming right after.


What blows my mind is how some of these newly spawned "tipsters" are managing to rake in absurd amounts of money with this nonsense. Their success is not based on skill, insight, or any real edge - it is based on exploiting people who do not understand variance and fall for a few lucky wins. When others see how easy that money is, of course they try to jump on the bandwagon.


Here is the playbook:
 - They spam free tips to hook people in
 - A short lucky streak happens (because variance exists)
 - They scream about the wins, bury the losses
 - Then they tell you the "real" money is in the paid picks

Reality check:
 - If someone actually had a consistent edge, selling it to randoms on YouTube would be the dumbest way to monetize it
 - Both the free and the paid picks are worthless - the only guaranteed profit is the subscription money going into the guru's pocket
 - People who do not understand variance confuse a few lucky wins with skill and start paying for picks they could literally get from a coin flip

This is a scam. Plain and simple.
If you have already paid for this kind of "service," treat it seriously. Report it. In the UK, the correct place to report is Action Fraud. Other countries have equivalent agencies.

Do not pay for picks. Do not idolize hot streaks. And if you see more channels sliding into this business model, drop their names and receipts in the comments - we will keep exposing them.
