Info
Welcome to The Present Teacher. This channel is for teachers who are done shrinking themselves to survive a broken system. I’m Helena Hains, author of That New Teacher Next Door, and I help teachers question the status quo and build classrooms—and careers—that are sustainable, calm, and aligned. Each week, this channel covers four core pillars: • Teacher Interviews — choosing aligned schools, spotting red flags, and interviewing without shrinking yourself • Classroom Setup — designing classrooms that support behavior, learning, and your nervous system • Classroom Management — structure and leadership without burnout or control tactics • Time Management — systems that help you leave on time without guilt This channel is for the teacher who knows that working harder isn’t the answer—and never was. Because the teacher next door doesn’t make herself small to make others comfortable. She knows who she is. She knows the impact she makes. And she has the courage to go after it.
