Info
Guitar Reviews, Rebuilds, and Banter.. We hunt down weird, forgotten, fake, rare, broken, and misunderstood guitars to find out if they’re hidden gems or complete disasters. No sponsors. No borrowed gear. No influencer hype. Frankentone is a private collection of 275+ guitars built through 400+ rescues, restorations, upgrades, and questionable financial decisions. From ShopGoodwill rescues and obscure MIJ sleepers to Temu oddities, counterfeits, BC Rich rarities, and vintage metal machines, if it’s unusual, we want to know if it’s worth owning. Expect honest reactions, complete teardowns, restorations, wiring experiments, play tests, and the occasional project that fights us every step of the way. Every instrument featured belongs to us. We aren’t guitar gods. We don’t shoot 100 takes. We aren’t sponsored. We’re just collectors who can’t stop bringing strange guitars home. Every instrument featured belongs to us. Welcome to Frankentone.
