Welcome to my model railway channel! After a 20-year break from the hobby, I’m back and documenting my journey building a fictional Great Western Railway (GWR) layout. The main focus is Goodford MK6, a DCC layout featuring late 1990s rolling stock from the Berks and Hants area. One side features the busy Goodford Junction & Station, a branchline shuttle, stabling point, and goods yard. This feeds through one of three fiddle yards into another scenic side: Oakley Quarry, a fictional spot in the Mendip Hills complete with a small station and level crossing for diverse running shots. The entire layout is fully DCC, operated via a Roco Z21 and iPad, with all locomotives fully sound-fitted. You can also explore the channel archives to see my older 2020-era GWR layouts.
